Starting the New Year with Community Service at the
Three Chopt Presbyterian Food Pantry
Club members Bruce Brooks, Jerry Davis, Don Stanley, and Larry Van Wagner spent the morning stabalizing attaching storage units at the pantry by attaching them to the wall. They then set up these tables to get ready for the afternoon crew who bagged disposable diapers.
The afternoon crew of Gina Brooks, Linda and Jim Attkisson, and Donna Hatfield bagged diapers by sizes to be added to the pantry's distributions.
The club donated Rudy Bears to the Richmond Auxilary Police for use at accidents involving children. Here President Hatfield presents a bear to SPRC member Ray Gargiulo who is a member of the auxilary police.

The Short Pump Ruritan Club is a civic organization that is an active group of patriotic, community-minded individuals who have joined together to make a positive impact on our Short Pump Community. Our goal is to make our community better for all citizens by practicing good Fellowship, spreading Goodwill, and performing acts of Community Service.
At our June 2024 Awards Dinner, we will again recognize the Businessperson of the Year, Henrico Police Officer of the Year, Sheriff's Deputy of the Year, and Firefighter of the Year. We will also award scholarships to 8 graduating seniors from local high schools.
The Club's primary fundraising event is the Short Pump Ruritan Club Charity Golf Tournament that will be held on September 12, 2024.
Our monthly membership meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
